Nirvana End of Paragliding Season & firefly watch – May 2015

Native Place Firefly Artwork-001Hi All,

We had an awesome end of season celebration last weekend with pilots and well wishers dropping by from all over. Pilots gathered at Native Place in the morning and the excitement of meeting familiar faces and catching up with old acquaintances lent a happy holiday feeling all around.

Weather conditions did not seem conducible to fly but hopeful pilots trudged off to the Shelar site late in the afternoon and logged in top to bottoms and headed back home to the guesthouse
Back home at the guesthouse the Native Place staff had put together a fabulous BBQ spread and guests gathered on the terrace lit by the light of the waxing moon and cooled by a steady west wind. The fireflies were not yet at optimum intensity yet they added a magical appeal inviting people to wander about and be charmed in the garden
Looking forward to the Pilots Monsoon Meet in a couple of months once the rains are here in full force, the streams are gurgling and the waterfalls splashing all around

Peace Bliss & Happy Landings
