Holi at Native Place and Nirvana Adventures was a treat – lots of colour , excitement, running chasing, splashing and squealing and hosing down . The weather was another story all together. The winds turned east n the morning and we scrambled back to Shinde tekdi with the Elementary Pilot Paragliding students where things went on quite well.
Once airborne and high above it i began to reminisced about the years gone by as i gazed out at the horizon remembering the many joyful times we have spent here and the amazing experiences we had here – juggling babysitting my son and first flights, leaving the hill and landing out, vulture and peregrine falcon spotting, interacting with the local kids, fighting summer fires, celebrating end of pg season parties,
Today we celebrate the Shinde hill , the opportunity to be awake to greet the new day, awesome sunrises, cool serene early mornings, breakfast at the site, shuffling up the hillside, easy gliding downhill and lots of fun excitement
The allure of the skies and the happy atmosphere at Native Place, swims in the lake, afternoon naps in the hammock, yoga in the evenings, fun get togethers, bbq’s and shooting star spotting has kept their friendship and their love for this getaway alive and evergreen.
It was a weekday trip, Monday to Wednesday. While the rest of the world was waking up to go to work, a privileged set of pilots were off on a flying trip. The Nirvana Pilot team gathered in full force and excitement knew no bounds. The Panchgani plan included 16 people, three vehicles, an enormous pile of gliders of all persuasions, all soaked with excitement.
